It cleans the chain well and definitely makes the whole process more convenient. But I am even happier about the brush set that I ordered together with the tool - it allows me to finally access and properly clean the cassette and derailleur which I couldn't do before.

Side note: I dont use degreasers as people say, I found out normal washing-up liquids do the same job (if not better!) - you just have to make sure to rinse it afterwards with hot water.

One week into using, the machine still looks good: the case seems to be strong, the brushes are hard, the gears are solid, everything is spinning as it should be...In short, the device works and its use helped me to significantly reduce the consumption of cleaning fluid + no black, dirty hands! :D

I can only recommend! Havent used the degreaser, only water yet it still worked perfectly. Just make sure to dry the chain properly afterwards. Cheers!

I’ve never cleaned bike chains before, but I got this kit and it was super easy to use and everything comes apart afterwards which makes it easy to clean! It would be awesome to have it come with lubricant already but I like the option of buying my own as well. I highly recommend this!

Works pretty well. Just make sure to put something underneath on the ground, while using. You will get some dripping. It is extremely easy to use and only takes a few minutes to do. I go through the gears, while using it. Gets the cleaner through all the cogs. After you're done, wipe the chain with a towel. Then, you can use whatever lube on the chain. I included a before and after picture.

This tool does a great job cleaning the chain. I've had it sitting on my workbench until after ridding a very muddy MTB race two weekends ago. As many reviews have mentioned this process is a little messy - however that is just the nature of a chain moving at speed through and around gears wet with cleaner or soap etc..so just know you are going to put an old beach towel down below your work area and no problem. Also as many reviewers have said a bike stand is very helpful to have to use this tool.

I like the gear mechanism because it scrubs the chain. Using this is a much better way to clean your chain, the dirt and mess are basically contained inside the unit.

I cannot believe how well this little thing works. I use simple green and water to clean my chains. Combined with the cleaner, it's sparkling every time.

After about 70 miles of riding with only cleaning my fat bikechain with rags, I grabbed this cleaner and a gallon of Simple Green to do a proper cleaning. I crashed into the sand jumping off a Lake Michigan pier in South Haven, Michigan and this tool removed nearly every grain of sand stuck to the chain. Great function, great price!
